About me
I’m a UX Designer with prior 6 years generating ideas for campaigns in the Advertising world. After working on projects involving emerging technologies, my interest in UX evolved and I decided to explore it as my next career development. UX encompasses the things I am most passionate about. From strategic thinking, through to ideation and finally visual design. But mostly, I love how it generates relevant solutions to users’ day to day problems. My friendly nature makes me a great team player and would be thrilled to work in a collaborative and nurturing environment.

  • Art Director at The Snacks Collective
Art Director at The Snacks CollectivePart of The Snacks Collective, where I art direct and execute art concepts exploring social issues. Our first art series explored gambling, so we created murals using discarded lottery tickets to show the abundance of losing ones. Outside The Zone Gallery let us display work in Shoreditch and invited us to participate in a group show. We were also selected by the North London Art Fair.

The End is Nigh, Artist talkThe End Is Nigh, is the inaugural group exhibition by Outside the Zone gallery. Showing a selection of artists that OTZ has exhibited with their public art program. The exhibition injects the fluid and impermanent nature of the city inside. Each of the artworks becomes a significant conversation between the artist and audience, rarely available in traditional exhibition spaces. Incorporating the original architecture of the space to communicate ideas from a critically optimistic and progressiv

Trained in UX principles such as user research, design, prototyping and iteration process in an agile way. Implemented the learnings in 3 concept projects and 1 client project: Client project for Common Objective, a B2B fashion platform - 2 weeks-group sprint. Improved the website navigation and implemented features to increase user engagement. I co-lead the project, facilitated the Design Studio, crafted most of the presentation and designed the high-fidelity wireframes. This project helped to expand my skills in information architecture, usability testing and client management. “Fernanda and the team showed a great deal of curiosity and care for the needs of our users, and were able to untangle complex challenges to create clean simple solutions.” - Qiulae Wong, Co-founder of Common Objective Concept project for AppleTV+ app - 2 weeks-group sprint Developed an additional feature to increase users engagement of the Apple TV app. Our solution helped users decide without having to browse endlessly. I grew my skills in user research and competitive analysis and learned how to collaborate efficiently under pressure. Concept for Progress Hardware - 2 weeks-group sprint Informed the product taxonomy and created an efficient navigation for a fictional hardware e-commerce site. The research was conducted in a group, but the solutions were individual. In particular, I expanded my skills in card sorting, competitive analysis and information architecture. Concept for a baking app - 1-week solo sprint The first UX project of the course involved ideating an app to enhance the baking experience of a classmate. My solution allowed users to follow through a recipe while cooking without having to touch their phones. I expanded my skills in user research, paper testing and prototyping.
