- Attrition PhotobookOn a three day trip to seaside town Folkestone Finn Davies, Elliot Elder and Charlie Hood were tasked with producing a publication documenting our brief stay in the town while simultaneously drawing a parallel with a predetermined text. Hugo Grotius's 'Mare Liberum' describes through metaphors a nondescript process that we interpreted the poem to be attrition, defined as the process of reducing something's strength or effectiveness through sustained attack or pressure. - Ikea Frosta ModificationWanting to push the idea of modification to its limits Finn Davies and Eliza Wallis chose IKEA furniture as out subject matter for this project. Side stepping the strict linear instructions and taking a more creative approach. After some consideration we found the ultimate subject, the Frosta stool. This £9 classic was the perfect blank canvas, consisting of just two types birch plywood pieces and a handful of screws. We bought a car boot full and started finding alternative uses for the kit.
- PlaineIn collaboration with George Thomas, Plaine originally documented examples of architecture at the end of their respective lines around London. We developed a technique to capture the buildings with an impossibly flat perspective and produced our first two successful 'Plaine' photographs. Although happy with the images we felt 'Plaine' had potential to be more than a short brief so we revisited the idea a few months later, hoping to turn it into something bigger.
