In collaboration with George Thomas, Plaine originally documented examples of architecture at the end of their respective lines around London. We developed a technique to capture the buildings with an impossibly flat perspective and produced our first two successful 'Plaine' photographs. Although happy with the images we felt 'Plaine' had potential to be more than a short brief so we revisited the idea a few months later, hoping to turn it into something bigger. We discovered Barcelona had a vast selection of varied architecture that would make the perfect subject matter for our revisitation of Plaine. The resulting images make up Plaine Barcelona, a 24 page book showcasing the diverse buildings of the city from a perspective, previously exclusive to the blueprints of the building.
