About me

Finn is an Irish freelance designer, currently based in Amsterdam. She graduated with a BA in Visual Communications from NCAD in 2019, is one of the co-founders of Hoax, is an ICAD Graduate Upstart as well as a member of ISTD. Her main interests lie in publications and web design, although this is always changing.

  Horizons DDR radio show graphicI collaborated with Irene Mansoldo on a rotating series of images for the Horizon DDR show hosted by Isidora Duran-Stewart. To compliment the ethereal, nature inspired, dreamy quality of the radio show, we took influence from maps and grids. Each month, the flower graphic alternates and is placed at a different point clockwise, indicating time passing.
• MHW logoMental Health Warriors (MHW) is a not-for-profit suicide prevention group. The brand identity is inspired by the strength of those who run the association, with the graphic mimicking arrow heads. I collaborated on the brand identity with Leah Bredendieck.
• Hoax issue 001"Hoax is a platform for the sustainably minded in Ireland; through our contributors, who span from artists, to printers, to activists, it represents the different ways in which Ireland is responding to climate change. Combining our backgrounds of philosophy and graphic design, Hoax explores the uncertainty surrounding climate change, and the confusion regarding where, and in who, we can place our belief and trust. • Bold! Tailor websiteFred van Gestel of Bold! Tailor, offers a bespoke costume making service especially for theatre and dance productions, garments for couture and for special occasions. As the work is so expressive, we decided to chose a simple sans serif with lots of empty space.
• Luncheonette web designLuncheonette is a long term art project centred around hospitality and food, started by Jennie Moran in 2013. It is a prolonged exploration into the complex alchemy of placemaking, centred around the provision of shared experiences. I worked closely with Jennie to find a design for the website that complimented the project holistically.   Hoax 001Issue 001 focuses on disconnection and how the distance felt between humanity and the natural world is a greater manifestation of being out of touch with ourselves and our true nature. Embracing a strict narrative, 001 climbs through uncertainty, connection, community and transgression to bridge this disconnection and propose alternatives.
