I'm a multidisciplinary designer and entrepreneur with experience in the fashion, music, virtual reality and software development industries. I'm currently employed by Siemens (Mendix) as a UX/UI designer. Mendix is a low-code platform that provides tools to build, test, deploy and iterate applications.
Projects
- What's all that bickering? Visualising the Noisy Smart Home. What about the invisible chatter around the home? Invisible? How can *sound* be invisible? In this case, ‘sound’ is actually noise, data noise. The endless communication streams of ones and zeros flying across our spaces, from the smart speaker sitting on the kitchen countertop, to the WIFI router on the floor in the living room. This ‘chatter’ is invisible – we cannot see it (if we don't look for it) but that doesn’t mean it’s not happening. Just because a human being isn’t moving their lips an
- Digital Omniscience DashboardSurveillance Capitalism: A form of capitalism using technology for its purposes. Providing free services that monitor user’s behaviour, often without their consent. The user’s personal information is commodified by businesses claiming their experience as a free raw material, this can then be used to predict how the user will behave in the future.
- LonlutionOur interactive site aims to expose pollution levels across London through dramatic sound. Taking your cursor and hovering over the interface, the sonifed data will play. As you drag your cursor from the centre to the four points (four London locations), you can hear the transition of pollution data from one area to the other.
- Pollution PowderPollution Powder is a data visualisation project which aims to expose individuals to the issue of air pollution in our world today. Pollution Powder takes a physical visualisation approach, showing pollutant data, such as nitrogen dioxide, nitrogen oxide, ozone and particular matter through different coloured powder. Whilst the majority of air pollution is invisible, it may seem difficult for individuals to understand the effects it has on our health and our environment. Therefore I created this
- IoT Surveillance ToolFor this project, I've explored the surveillance of the smart home. How are IoT devices, such as smart speakers, TVs, lighting systems and cameras, behaving in our network environments? We connect these systems to our networks, without second-guessing their security. Whilst devices sit on our countertops, on 'stand-by', what are they actually doing? Are they communicating? I have developed my own IoT surveillance tool allowing users to spy on their smart devices. During my research, I discovere
- Exposing Unsecured CCTVA quick internet search of 'view online CCTV cameras' exposes lists of unsecured cameras streaming, usually without the realisation of the CCTV owners. You can log into these system using default security credentials. It's worrying to see these websites exposing the live visual feeds as well as the IP address, location coordinates and postcode of these victims, making them readily available online for anybody to view.

In my final year, I completed three projects on surveillance, and one on users with disabilities. Project 1 saw me exposing unsecured CCTV cameras by designing and coding an interactive, gamified, website. I also directed an interface film which saw me visiting businesses, exposing their unsecured cams.
For my second project, I explored privacy issues surrounding IoT devices and developed a website which uses augmented reality to visualise the connections between our smart devices and the services they are communicating with.
For my major digital project, I explored Surveillance Capitalism. I designed and developed an interactive website: d-o-d.netlify.app, to expose the topic to someone who may not know anything about it. I followed Shoshana Zuboff’s ideas on the subject closely.
My thesis explored how UI/UX can aid the development of good communication through AAC devices and was awarded a first. I explored new knowledge on how users with disabilities interact with interfaces.
