About me
I am currently a Master's student at Brunel University London, pursuing an MSc in Sustainability, Entrepreneurship and Design. The focus of my study and research is on how engineering, design and responsible management can help businesses innovate in the context of the environmental challenges that we face.
Prior to my time at Brunel, I have been an entrepreneur, marketer and product professional for over 12 years. Having founded a sustainable retail business, I specialise as a consultant to fast-paced consumer brands and start-ups to help develop their business models, sales & marketing strategies, and business development approach.
I was previously a Product Manager at Burberry for 6 years, where I led the development of our women's outwear line. During this time I also championed a series of sustainability initiatives and led the redesign of our internal management processes.
Projects
- Brand Partnerships & EventsWorking with strategic luxury brand partners, my brief was to create a summer calendar of bespoke, experiential events for my client's prospective clients. Each event was designed to nurture interest in the client's unique product offering and build brand awareness and community around the brand with an international audience. Each event was accompanied by social media and email marketing campaigns, targeting new and prospective leads.
- Brand Creation and DevelopmentFounded and creatively directed D2C ecommerce luxury womenswear brand, offering 100% silk clothing and accessories, made in the UK. After eight years at Burberry, fuelled by a growing interest in marketing and brand strategy, I took the plunge to set up my own brand, Clara Chatto. Founding my own brand, I learnt first-hand how much passion and commitment goes into launching a company in a competitive market. - Marketing Content: Email CampaignsEmail marketing is a vital tool for promoting customer engagement and brand community. As a marketer I have designed, directed and created multiple email marketing campaigns which are tailored to brands' unique objectives and audience personas. From promotions and eye-catching news to long reads and interviews - my goal is always to find authentic stories which attract attention and start conversations.
