About me
Georgie is a multi-award winning writer and director based in Northern Ireland and London. She has worked across several disciplines including film, podcast creation, arts journalism and curation. Her films have been recognised globally for their bold and unique vision and screened at BAFTA qualifying festivals. She has had experience working across several departments on low-budget short films, often editing, art directing and animating graphics in her films. She is currently in post-production on a BBC short film where she will combine live action footage with animated collages. Her work is created with broad audiences in mind and the desire to dramatise the ordinary, especially the daily challenges faced by women. She is interested in visualising modern life and the issues of technology through a historical gaze; creating works which fuse popular culture and aesthetics from the past and present.
