• ES Magazine RelaunchI was lucky enough to be apart of Ben Cobb's relaunch of ES magazine. My role was to create the interior editor, Adam Bray's mood board. This was my firs responsibility with ES Magazine.

  Bloody Good PeriodWhen asylum seekers reach the UK, they are given just £37.50 per week to live on, with no provision for menstrual supplies, which are classed as ‘luxury’ products. ​ Bloody Good Period is a non-profit organisation set up to provide menstrual products for free to asylum seekers, refugees and those who can’t otherwise afford them.

  Bloody Funny: A Comedy Evening in aid of Bloody Good PeriodBloody Funny is the biggest event in Bloody Good Period's fundraising calendar, featuring some of the biggest names on the UK comedy scene uniting to raise money to fight period poverty. Whilst assisting the food and drink editor, I was asked to go to the reviewed restaurants and take pictures for the magazine. This meant liaising with the restaurant, along with our picture editor to ensure that the correct shot was taken. Alongside assisting the food and drink editor, I have also helped the sub-editors with having final proof pages signed off by the editor.

Along with a range of tasks on the ES Magazine, I have been assisting the photo editors to obtain images for weekly features and set pages such as ‘Travel’ and their ‘Set Menu’ page. Whilst helping obtain high resolution images from PR agencies, I have also been helping conduct image research. I’ve also assisted the photo editor on shoots for covers of the magazine and for main feature articles too. This has given me experience of the dynamic of a photo shoot setting and an understanding of the line of communication between the editor, photo editor and photographer.

Mural Design WinnerBarker Proudlove
I won the Barker Proudlove mural competition to design an engaging and fun window display in Leeds City Centre. With this brief, I had to consider how to use a large scale space effectively in an engaging manner, whilst being suitable for people of all ages. My design had an emphasis on large bold type, combined with smaller more detailed illustrations of the local community.
