About me
Greg Kampouridis is an artist based in London. He completed his MA in Art & Space with Commendation from Kingston University in 2016 and his BA in Contemporary Fine Art with High Upper Second Class Honours from the University of Portsmouth in 2014. He is fascinated with collaborating and working with other human beings and specifically with children, as they produce art in its finest and purest form. Experimentation with new ideas and materials is something he particularly seeks for when working on his installations – as he can say it is the main medium he works on. As an artist, he has recently worked with a team of people with mental disabilities, which is major for him both as a person and as a creative. Through them, he cultivated an interest on how people express and understand themselves through art. He also works digitally, using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator on Wacom Cintiq Pro and Procreate on iPad.

The residue of a flare ignited upon a boundaryThis exhibition occurred with the historic event of an EU membership referendum in the UK, with a vote to leave. Students from ten different countries could not ignore this event in their final exhibition. So in the aftermath, and in a new landscape of volatile reactions and political unrest, they made DaDa poems, mixing words evoking: borders, cities, homes, work, education, travelling, splitting, sharing and belonging. Titles in- cluding: ‘Border Beach’, ‘Jukebox Skyscraper’ and ‘Ever Island’,
