I began directing from an early age and after winning praise from the National Film & Television Museum I moved from North Yorkshire to London aged 22. Over a decade later I have worked in the UK, Europe, Asia and the USA; directing commercials and films for brands including Nike, Sony Playstation, Cadbury, Samsung and O2.
Along with commercials I have been driven to pursue narrative work, my short film DEVIL MAKES WORK starring Shaun Dooley (Woman in Black, Eden Lake, Gunpowder) received a Vimeo Staff Pick, it was selected for over 40 film festivals around the world including Raindance, Stiges, FilmQuest, One Screen, DragonCon and BAFTA accredited Leeds International. The film is now available on Amazon Prime.
My short film GOD'S KINGDOM boasts a cast of well known British film and television actors including Alistair Petrie (Sex Education, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, The Night Manager), Anthony Flanagan (The Terrors, Versailles, Red Riding: The Year of our Lord 1974), Mark Wingett (Snow White and the Huntsmen, Quadrophenia, The Bill) and Paul Hurstfield (Dead Man's Shoes). The film was featured on Vimeo's Narrative Category Page and the YouTube channel ALTER where it has pulled in over 300,000 views.
I am currently in post production on a new short film called A SICKNESS starring David Langham (His Dark Materials, The Alienist, Doctor Who) as well as this I'm in pre-production on another short called THE OLD MAN AND DEATH. I am also working with producer Simon Maloney (Peaky Blinders, Curfew, King Charles III) on a multi-part drama called CATCH.
