  • Shanghri- la
Shanghri- laShangri-La is a word synonymous with any earthly paradise, particularly a mythical Himalayan utopia - a permanently happy land, isolated from the outside world. This collection of outdoor furniture was designed for a brief set by the well established outdoor furniture brand, Gloster. It brings together people in a world of its own, with bright colours, cosy environments and virtual enclosures to make you feel pampered and pleasured. The Shangri-La collection comprises of two variations of a ham
  • Colour Me Curious
Colour Me CuriousColour. It affect humans physically and emotionally. It reflects people's religious and spiritual needs and cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Colour awakens emotional responses related to past experiences in every human, consciously or subconsciously. Colour has innumerable applications. Colour is ubiquitous. This forms the base concept of my designs. Titled Grey (Rocking Lounger) and Copper (Floor Lamp), the two products were chosen quite by accident and after the colours were first decided upon. Colour is the first, most immediate feature that a user sees, responds to and interacts with. The starting point of the products was a colour; completely reversing the traditionally followed design process. My project has gradually evolved from the direct use of highly visible colours to respecting the inherent colour of the material and translating this into an integral part of the aesthetic appeal.

     - High Wycombe, United Kingdom
I have completed an MA in furniture along with interior and spatial design to enable me to expand my design senses and abilities into also creating a suitable ambiance in the space surrounding the furniture I design. Bachelor of DesignNational Institute of Fashion and Technology
     - Hyderabad, India
The Bachelors of Design is a 4 year course, which I studied in the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Hyderabad, India. I specialized in Lifestyle accessory/ Product design, with a sub-specialization of Furniture design. My final project was with a luxury furniture brand in Delhi, Chizzle; where I designed two collections of theme- based furniture targeting the high end Indian market, and prepared prototypes for the same- 1. “Let There Be Light”, the first collection is a set of 5 tables inspired from ribbons and the aesthetic quality that comes with the different shapes and forms a ribbon takes, with the colour scheme being black with highlights of metal. 2. The second collection “Inked” is a line of furniture, mainly chests of drawers, featuring a new finish- prints on wood. This is a feature new to the Indian furniture market and it became the USP of this line.
