Chuck Klosterman: “But What If We’re Wrong?: Thinking About the Present As If It Were the Past.”Perceiving the “now” through the future’s lens is undoubtedly a tricky, if not impossible, task. Yet, American pop culture essayist Chuck Klosterman attempts to leave no trending (and some, outdated) inventions and sociocultural affairs unchallenged. From gravity to literature, cinema to ideology, modern society has surely got some things right. But what if we’re wrong?

But as an art form, Javanese dance offers philosophical and spiritual narratives that challenge us to observe the transgression of opposites, and cinema might be the answer to keep this heritage alive.

The Jakarta Post is a leading English-language newspaper in Indonesia that covers a broad spectrum of stories, including politics, economy, music, arts, and culture. My role as an editorial contributor consists of proposing and submitting editorial features on arts and culture and attending press conferences where available. In my brief affiliation with The Post, I have published a story on the design culture as seen in literary publications as a device to engage with the youth, as well as representing the team in online press conferences that gravitate toward the local music industry.
