I help to organise, coordinate, and carry out the monthly family outreach activities that aim to engage young children in arts and culture by involving them with the work and artefacts of the museum. Since the beginning of lockdown I have been working on creating videos and workbooks for children to follow and fill in at home, teaching them about artefacts in the university collection and the importance of them. My videos focus on researching items relating to folklore within the Carmichael-Watson collection. Through these videos and accompanying workbooks, I help them towards receiving a Discover Arts Award.

MSc Art HistoryEdinburgh College of Art
     - Edinburgh, United Kingdom
In this intensive one-year masters, I examined theoretical frameworks of art interpretation, historical contexts of art objects, and concepts of display within galleries and museums. I took part in a valuable work experience placement as part of my course at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. My dissertation was a 15,000 word independent art historical piece of research on the demonisation of magical women within the 19th century, specifically during the Pre-Raphaelite period.

My undergraduate degree allowed me to develop both analytical thinking towards complex data and a more detailed understanding of human behaviour, which culminated in a dissertation on psychological responses to colour in artwork.
