    Working closely with marketing managers and events directors across six distinct brands, I lead the company’s brand strategy and copywriting. My role is focused on using brand building as a tool to increase customer loyalty, expand our audience and drive revenue. Key projects and responsibilities have included: - Producing brand books to articulate the purpose, mission, vision and values of our brands, communicating a distinct tone of voice and design principles to ensure brand and editorial integrity across the portfolio. - Writing new website copy and leading the creative development of social media campaigns for new brand launches and rebrands. - Writing brand strategies and presenting to key company stakeholders to optimise opportunities for brand storytelling across the business, maximise the team’s creativity and improving efficiencies. - Managing the team’s Content Executive, setting annual objectives, delegating workflow and supporting their personal and professional development. - Developing a new external company newsletter, sent to all customers to create a sense of year-round community, highlighting our new brand initiatives, thought-leadership reports and key customer projects. - Leading the writing of crisis communications during the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring customers were kept updated on key developments as our events were postponed and new digital services were launched to compensate and enhance their networking experience.

    My role encompassed both creative brand copywriting and editorial content writing across the company’s four flagship brands. I supported the launch of a new event brand, Further East, in late 2018 and also played a key role in the rebrand and relaunch of our parent company, This is Beyond, in 2019. Key projects and responsibilities included: - Writing copy for email marketing campaigns, blogs, social media and video content to increase brand awareness and engagement (among existing and new customers) – crafting brand messaging that created a sense of community while also supporting key sales and marketing objectives. - Editing one of the company’s annual print magazines, which included commissioning and editing content from several travel writers, as well as contributing a number of articles and interviews myself. I was also responsible for overseeing the design, incorporation of adverts and final proofing of the 120-page publication. - Creating concepts for brand campaigns and experiential marketing activations, ensuring the brand narrative and key marketing messages were weaved in to all digital and physical touchpoints along the customer journey. - Ghostwriting articles and external communications from the founder/CEO that supported the company’s key brand messages and values, as well as interviewing him for video content used in marketing campaigns to support sales. - Managing and writing internal company communications, including launching monthly newsletters focused on building the office community, writing an employee handbook, and coordinating the new company awards ceremony, which included scriptwriting and a mini-awards campaign.
