Holly Goodall is a textiles surface designer for fashion from the South coast of England.
Specialising in Wilcom CAD design, Irish machine, hand embroidery, knitwear, (in)visible mending, slow processes and contemporary designs for fashion.
Also competent in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Lightroom, Wilcom CAD software, hand screen-printing and other screen-printing techniques (such as devoré and discharge), domestic sewing machines, tufting guns, Sonic welder, hand-dyeing using both chemical and natural dyestuffs, laser-cut design work and beadwork.

- A Mariner's Home‘A Mariner’s Home’ is a romanticized, narrative-driven collection for menswear and/or unisex A/W fashion clothing 20/21. The collection draws inspiration from the British Isles coastline and its rich maritime history, focusing primarily on fishermen’s workwear and seaside landscapes. By researching fair isle knitting patterns that originated from the Shetland Isles, I was able to create a realistic but updated ‘fisherman’ aesthetic. - PodlingsTitled ‘Podlings’, a completely fictional word, this personal project has been aimed towards an otherworldly but tactilel outcome. Forming a unisex A/W collection for 19/20, ‘Podlings’ takes inspiration from the book ‘Seeds: Capsules of Life’ which contains microscopic photography of various types of seed pods. Combining and layering fabrics and techniques together, the collection includes sleeves with knitted then embroidered cuffs; and delicately subtle quilting and CAD fringing details. Visua
