About me
Hi, I'm Imogen - a lover of all things creative, ready to get stuck into whatever challenge is thrown at me. Light up your LockdownVery proud to say that on Sunday 29th November, myself, Maddison Briggs, Emma Dann and Hannah Brown, successfully ran our first virtual event! (And with no technical difficulties...woo!) As part of one of our final year modules at University of the West of England, we were tasked to host an event with no budget and came up with our virtual charity event, ‘Light up your Lockdown’ with the aim to raise spirits and get everyone in a festive, feel good mood. The event kicked off with a cocktail

I reached out to Penguins in my second year of university, landing my placement year with them for 13 months. My role involved supporting project managers in both the Live and Incentives teams to deliver successful events, ranging in size from 20 to 400 delegates. This started at the proposal creation stage, all the way through to being on-site at the event and even collecting feedback to provide to the client. Other responsibilities included: - Programme and proposal creation - Liaising with suppliers, DMCs and contacts across the globe - Direct delegate management prior to the event, including management of registration apps and websites - Creating designs for event marketing - Logistics support - Strategic development of the incentives department.

I am currently on track to receive a 1:1 in my degree. In my final year, I was recently tasked with hosting an event with no budget during the pandemic. Myself and my team (3 others) ended up creating a virtual Charity event called 'Light Up your Lockdown'. The event was made up for a cocktail masterclass, origami workshop, bingo and a Charity raffle. The event was super successful and we manged to raise £1,257 for St Michael's Hospice (North Hampshire). Some of my other favourite modules having included, entrepreneurship and small business (1:1), business decision making for marketing & events (1:1) and economics for events and marketing (1:1) I have been awarded with a certificate of excellence and made in onto the Dean’s List two years running for achieving a 1:1 in both my first and second year at university.
