The book is formulated as a series of narratives that traces students’ research and presents accounts of history told through object-centred analysis. - PlantaphiliaPlantaphilia is a collaborative self-directed project with artist Paula Turmina where we experiment with analogue films to explore human relationships with the emotions of non-humans. The essence of this ongoing project has been stimulated by research on historical theories of the healing powers of plants, in the fields of medicine and aesthetics. I first joined the studio in 2013 as a Textiles Specialist and came back as a Materials Specialist after completing an MA in the History of Design at the Royal College of Art and the Victoria & Albert Museum. While I am a PhD candidate at the RCA/V&A in the same programme I remain the Studio Manager.
Also, I am in charge of the materials library, leading the studio’s project on London’s first sustainable material library dedicated to the promotion of net-zero emissions in the construction industry.
