Projects
- Quarantine drawing sessionsWhile the world is in an apocalyptic lockdown, I organised with a friend weekly drawing sessions. We gathered a nice crew of creatives who also enjoy cosplay (hence the knife and the Matrix-inspired poses) and, honestly, these couple of hours make quarantine so much more enjoyable. It is a very collaborative community and all of us pose and draw. Later on, I add a dash of colour to some of the illustrations in Photoshop, still maintaining that raw and unpolished feel of quick sketches.
- CommutingThe city where I come from, Pula, is a tourist destination based in the heart of the Mediterranean. I wanted to illustrate real people during commute to create a series of postcards. Instead of famous monuments and beaches, my aim was to focus on the people because they are are the ones who make the city the way it is. All of these illustrations started as sketches because I wanted to draw them in real time, rather than from photographs. After that, to retain their organic feel, I traced them
- Collages - collection #1These collages were hand-cut using imagery from various magazines and print publications. The challenge was to create something by hand and the process resembled a meditative state, as my mind was piecing up together various images and transforming their meaning into something entirely new.
