Commuting

The city where I come from, Pula, is a tourist destination based in the heart of the Mediterranean. I wanted to illustrate real people during commute to create a series of postcards. Instead of famous monuments and beaches, my aim was to focus on the people because they are are the ones who make the city the way it is. All of these illustrations started as sketches because I wanted to draw them in real time, rather than from photographs. After that, to retain their organic feel, I traced them with a brushpen, scanned them and turned into vectors in Adobe Illustrator. This way, they became versatile graphics that can be used in a variety of products, from postcards to T-shirts and totes.
