Graphic DesignerLondon, United Kingdom
About me
Isobel is an Australian graphic designer who has recently moved to London to expand her knowledge and experience in the industry. She is a creative and strategic problem solver, with a passion for branding, identity and digital design. She is enthusiastic about helping people and brands reach their goals through interpreting, communicating and bringing to life their concepts and ideas. Isobel graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2014 with a Bachelor of Environmental Design. After spending the following year travelling, she discovered her love and passion for the design industry. She followed this passion into a Diploma of Graphic Design at Foundry while simultaneously freelancing for a number of design companies. After completing her studies, Isobel commenced her work in the industry at Kingthing Marketing where she led the graphic design arm of the firm. Isobel’s honest, reliable and hardworking attitude demonstrated through her work in the industry has enabled her to grow her skill set and develop a style that is minimalistic, elegant and engaging. She has committed to helping grow the local design community by her involvement as the Tasmanian host of The Design Kids (TDK), an online resource helping student and graduate graphic designers to get kick ass jobs in the design industry. She has worked to educate, inspire and connect students and graduates with the broader design community. In her spare time, she is off exploring every corner of the world, having travelled to almost 30 countries. Whether it be bushwalking, heading to the beach or enjoying good food and wine, she is sure to be sharing it with her friends and family.

Muddy Creek ApplesIdentity and packaging design. Muddy Creek is a heritage listed Orchard in the Tamar Valley Region of Tasmania. I positioned the visual identity around dendrochronology, the scientific method of dating trees through the formation of their inner rings. The rings which are visually represented on the branding highlight the life of the tree and the earthy heritage of the brand. I wanted to keep the rings ambiguous as they may also be interpreted as mud puddles or landscape contours, giving endles
  • Furneaux Distillery
Furneaux DistilleryIdentity and packaging design. Furneaux Distillery is a boutique whisky distillery, housed in the ‘soon to be built’ Flinders Wharf. The whisky is mulled locally on a Flinders Island farm, using island peats and local grown barley. Described as ‘paddock to bottle’ - the whisky accurately represents the wild and rugged island habitat through its heavy, smoky flavour. I delivered a brand that represented the heart of Flinders Island by incorporating the islands earthy colours and textures whilst
  • The Flinders Wharf
The Flinders WharfArt Direction, logo and collateral design. The Flinders Wharf is a new concept, designed to showcase the very best of Flinders Island. The Wharf site has recently been given a new lease on life and is now a hub for both locals and visitors alike to experience the premium produce, hospitality and activities that Flinders Island has on offer. The logo was designed to sit alongside beautiful illustrations that represent the island at its core. My role at Kingthing saw me lead the art direction an
