About me
I am a multidisciplinary designer, recently graduated from Central Saint Martins with a First Class Honours degree in Graphic Communication Design. My previous work has utilised filmmaking, video editing, web design, printmaking and much more. I have an appreciation for both digital and analogue design approaches and love combining the two. Core values within my practice include accessibility, inclusivity, empathy and empowerment. I strongly believe that design should be accessible to all. Besides design, I am also passionate about playing music in bands, painting and writing. I work well both on my own and collaboratively so look forward to meeting lots of new people within my field of practice!
Projects
  • Inattentive ADHD and Me
Inattentive ADHD and MeThe aim of this project was to educate young girls (8+) with Inattentive ADHD about their condition in a relevant and engaging way. The outcome is an activity book that encourages them to reflect on their condition creatively. The finished book is a collaboration between myself and the reader, as it remains unfinished until the activities have been completed. The book is also intended to celebrate and empower girls with ADHD, rather than imply that their behaviours are abnormal, which is what ma
  • Refuse to Re-skill!
Refuse to Re-skill!Interactive web design. Below is an interactive web page I coded that enables users to create their own poster by dragging and arranging digital stickers. This piece was part of a project called 'Refuse to Reskill' and was done in response to comments made by the UK government regarding how creative people need to 'reskill' in light of the pandemic. This project was heavily reliant on analogue design approaches as the tools I had access to were limited during this time. I was heavily influenc
  • Process Work
Process WorkDocumenting my process work is a huge part of my practice. I often do this in a sketchbook and compile it digitally. On this page are some examples of my process work from previous projects that demonstrate my commitment to a brief from beginning to end (and everything in-between). I recognise the importance of compiling and editing process work into rich PDFs to give a concise overview of a project's direction. Below is a video of my sketchbook work and some random pages from PDF’s I presented

    SEN Teaching Assistanteducation
     - London, United KingdomFull Time
I did a month of SEN teaching earlier this year to get experience working with Autistic children. My university dissertation explored, 'How Graphic Design can be used as a means to empower young girls with ADHD and raise awareness about the issue', so seeing first-hand how school effects neurodiverse children in their early years was incredibly valuable and deepened my understanding of persisting issues within the education system. The role exercised my punctuality, dependability and adaptability. During this time, I was also trained in speech therapy.

    Junior Graphic DesignerBrand Britain
     - Leeds, United KingdomInternship
I did a short internship with the company Brand Britain during the 2019 summer holidays. The role involved me working alongside 5 professional graphic designers in their office in Leeds - (I even had my own desk). Completing this week left me with a wealth of knowledge surrounding the branding process and collaborating with other designers to reach a fully actualised outcome. I found I got the opportunity to implement my knowledge on how to navigate and develop a brief in a professional setting. At the end of the internship the owner of the company contributed some of my ideas during a meeting with an oversees employer.

A short film I made titled ‘feminism?’ was shortlisted for an English and Media Centre award in 2016. Although I didn’t win the competition, I got the opportunity for my film to be played to a full audience at the BFI in London. I was only 17 years old at the time so this was a huge accomplishment for me.
