About me
Recently graduated from the University of Warwick with a First Class Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and French. Looking for challenges and opportunities, ideally those in which my articulate written expression, understanding of literature, and/or proficiency in French language would be of use. During the final year of my degree, all six of my assessed essays were graded between 78 - 88%, attesting to my capacity for written clarity, as well as my ability to analyse French and English literature and literary language, which formed the subject matter of my work. Values important to me include humility and a strong sense of professional will coupled with promoting self-care, diversity and inclusion, and the well-being of others. Widely travelled with a love for cultural immersion. Freelance yoga instructor. Would love to discuss the next chapter with those of all fields of experience. Controversial: Why Veganism Hasn't Worked For MeTheoretically, I am 100% in support of veganism, and believe the world would be a happier, healthier and more sustainable place if everyone were vegan. Veganism very much coincides with everything I believe in; I am a strong advocate of equality for all beings and the elimination of earthly suffering. I equally believe that a plant-based diet is the most natural way for humans to eat; in the animal kingdom, our digestive systems most resemble those of gorillas, who are themselves comple

I Have Never Been More Nervous Than This About Posting Something OnlineSo, I have never been more nervous than this about posting something online. But I want to make a change once and for all, and, as all my previous efforts to make said change have not been successful, I feel as though a bigger, more dramatic action is needed.     The change I want to make subsists of a lifestyle shift from ‘smoker’ to ‘non-smoker’. The reason I am so nervous about publicising this is due to the fact that I have never really faced-up to this identity as a ‘smoker’, and
  • Going Vegan
Going VeganMonday morning energy always inspires me to do something proactive with my life. For a long long time I have wanted to try out going vegan - I was vegetarian for 10 years, and briefly again for a stint this summer whilst travelling in India - but for about 5 years I have been an intermittent and indifferent meat-eater. Recently, however, I have been more poignantly alerted to the negative effects of eating meat, which are so alarmingly widespread, and many of which also originate in the f

This position in a French Lycée in Versailles allowed me to lead small classes of students aged 14 - 18 in order to help their English language skills in preparation for their Baccalauréat examinations. I was entirely responsible for the lesson planning, collecting resources, and organising the most productive way in which their time could be employed with me as a native speaker.
