About me
As a creative designer in an integrated agency I am used to working in a fast-paced team environment. Day-to-day, I am designing and art-directing on projects both above and below the line across multiple platforms. Be it storyboarding for animations, building a new brand or collaborating on a new campaign, I am in my element when I can embrace a creative territory whole-heartedly. Since cutting my teeth in London as an information designer I have been fortunate enough to work for a varied list of clients from financial blue chip and global luxury brands to small independent businesses.
Projects
  • Poole Maritime Week
Poole Maritime WeekIn 2017 Poole will be hosting European Maritime Day. To celebrate the town will be hosting a full week of activities. The problem is that 80 percent of Poole residents never make use of the sea. My task was to design an identity that embraced the history of the town and its waters. The result was a distorted logotype, bright colour palette and typography that felt like it was floating on the water. (Speculative work)
  • Arada Stoves Brand Repositioning
Arada Stoves Brand RepositioningArada is the UK’s leading manufacturer of wood burning stoves, consolidating the well loved names of Villager, Aarrow and Stratford under a single brand. BBD were tasked with elevating Arada to a lifestyle brand based on its unique take on modern British heritage – challenging the category norms with an new approach to marketing and communications. We defined Arada’s purpose around ‘putting warmth at the heart of home’. A creative brand platform built on an Arada Stove being so much more than just a black metal box, and central to the lifestyle of those that own it. Integrated executions played on the emotion and synesthesia associated with owning an Arada across print, outdoor, press, event, POS and digital platforms. I worked across the whole project from ideation to design and art-direction.
  • Inside Poole's Oldest Store
Inside Poole's Oldest StoreA self-initiated project to design and write a book about the oldest store in Poole. Boone's has been trading as an ironmongers since 1820 and my mission was to research its previously unknown history. To be published in 2016.
  • Visa Tokenisation
Visa TokenisationA responsive microsite to explain how the tokenisation payment process from Visa works.
  • RNLI Mayday 2015
RNLI Mayday 2015Mayday is the RNLI's largest fundraising campaign for the UK and Republic of Ireland. I acted as lead designer and art director to create a series of ads, a website and extensive collateral for national press and volunteers across the charity. Photographs by Nigel Millard.

  • China SCE Group's Funworld Brand Introduction
China SCE Group's Funworld Brand IntroductionA series of high quality, urban shopping mall experiences and retail, commercial complexes, created to meet the diversified demand of their customers, leading a fashionable lifestyle. The main challenge was to work across time zones, language barriers, cultural differences and a complete revision of the colour scheme towards the end of the production, but thanks to a competent team on our end and a linked master composition to quickly change any colour, the client was enthusiastic after all.
