About me
I’m an award-winning marketeer, consultant and entrepreneur with a track record of pioneering new business models and approaches that equip businesses to thrive. I solve problems for my clients by combining imagination, inclusivity and on-the-job learning. This approach empowers individuals and teams reach their best and builds their capacity going forward, accelerating personal and business growth. My solution may be a swift series of 1:1 conversations, through to leading 30-90 day sprints to empower and enable their teams to deliver with excellence. Throughout my career, I’ve always been on the cutting-edge of new business models and creativity. I love helping clients to 1) explore the future of their business, brand and organization and 2) facilitating delivery of the elements that bring their vision into reality. My broad and varied experiences enable me to see challenges through multiple perspectives as I’ve been a client, agency owner and consultant. Here’s a snapshot of my leading-edge experiences: Digital brand building I pioneered several of P&G’s earliest digital campaigns and platforms (including building a social network in 2006!) before becoming Digital Brand Manager for the Prestige Division ($2bn revenue). I became one of P&G’s top digital experts, consulting across the entire Western European portfolio (winning multiple global awards). Since then. I’ve helped numerous businesses innovate their business models and communications to better engage their consumers and employees. Generating advantage from Gen-Z + Millennials I co-founded Reluctantly Brave, a pioneering consultancy with inclusion at the core. One of the key ingredients was the award winning (Young) Braves program. We trained strategists 16-24yrs old, bringing them into client projects for C-Suite and Directors at clients such as DLA Piper, Nando’s, and Starbucks. Super-charging start-ups Reluctantly Brave’s aim was to be a world-class consultancy and successfully advised CEOs of start-ups to secure funding as well as brands wanting to ‘be more start-up’ including Kellogg’s, Thomson Reuters and Walgreen Boots Alliance. I’m also a Director of Added Ventures, an incubator where I’ve developed business models and brand strategy for start-ups (to date with a 50% conversion to funding). Brand strategy expert I’ve shaped the future direction for many of the world’s leading brands (such as BBC, BP, HSBC, and Unilever and start-ups), encouraging them to move into new segments, technologies and territories. My foundational skills we built in brand management at P&G including commercial marketing (doubling Lacoste Fragrances UK revenue) before leading global strategy and design for their $250m youth segment. Post P&G, I transitioned to brand strategy at a variety of industry leading brand and innovation agencies such as BBH, Design Bridge, Landor and The Clearing, before setting up Reluctantly Brave. Facilitating new possibilities At P&G I discovered a passion for training and facilitation, leading the top rated Western European ‘Inspirational Presenters’. I honed my facilitation skills on a variety of brand strategy, innovation and culture change projects in various leading agencies. This culminated at Reluctantly Brave’s inclusive co-creative approach, where real difference is brought into the room. I extended my expertise exploring topics such as gender balance, D&I and engaging Gen-Z and Millennials – co-creating new and exciting possibilities between for our clients.
