About me
I am an English Literature graduate from the University of the West of England and now a Bristol based writer. I have experience as an assistant editor and web editor for The Bristol and Bath Magazine as well as managing the company’s social media platforms. I have also written a commissioned piece for The Bristol Cable. I have my own website in which I upload my creative writing and poetry as this is something I do simultaneously to my work. I am currently looking for work in writing, journalism, editing or marketing.

Managing and control of the social media content for two magazines, including Instagram and Twitter (X). Scheduling of post and events for the online calendar and ensuring the websites are up to date using the Wordpress platform. Updating the website to make sure no outdated content is visible. Having a schedule the week after we go to press by uploading the magazine binders created with Issuu onto the website, and making sure the scheduled posts align with scheduled Instagram and X posts. Ensuring weekly newsletters are done on time for each Friday weekly deadline through the use of the MailerLite platform (and enhancing time efficiency and proofreading). Using Quark documents to edit and design pages for each issue, my primary focus were the books pages and arts & exhibitions pages for The Bristol Mag; the 'What's On' and 5' Things' pages for The Bath Magazine; and scheduling posts for social media using Meta Business Suite. Rapid enhancement of key journalistic writing skills having written articles for both the 'Bristol' and 'Bath' magazines; consisting of preliminary subject research; conducting and arranging interviews; transcribing of recorded conversations; and proof-reading my own work before sending off for final editorial review. Learning and mastering a variety of diverse and transferrable office skills applicable to many different areas of work.
