      • Took on a new role in addition to my existing responsibilities as picture library administrator, to develop the Geffrye Picture Library into a publicly accessible resource that integrates Capture Ltd. picture library with collections management software (MuseumsIndex+). Key achievements include: - Presented a business case to gain support for the development project, which was accepted by the Board of Trustees. - Carried out market research to provide relevant benchmarking data, compared systems providers, identified marketing opportunities and potential agency partners through desk research, visiting and interviewing the picture library departments at other museums, and attending trade events. - Carried out an intellectual property rights audit, and assisted in clearing rights for the images in the collection. - Carried out a tendering and procurement process for the new Picture Library system. - Migrated images to the new Capture system and entered image data, including rights information, captions and keywords. - Provided image support to the Communications and Education staff in design and image retouching for advertising and promotion.

      • As picture library assistant I assisted with the initial digitisation and ongoing maintenance of the Geffrye's picture library. This included: - Testing and adapting an image management database and designing an intranet site in collaboration with the Picture Library Administrator. - Checking and preparing images received from photographers and/or photographic labs to ensure they comply with required digital standards. - Uploading images into the image management system (ImageIndex+) and populating image records with rights information, captions and keywords. - Assisting with the long-term digital asset management for the museum. I also photographed exhibitions, gardens, objects and events, particularly the Youth programmes for the Stories of the World programme – part of the Cultural Olympiad, for the museum's advertising, promotion and records.
