About me

One year on from graduating with a First-class Honours in Product Design (BSc) from the University of Leeds, I am looking for opportunities to take on my first significant design role. Since my studies I have completed a number of shorter work placements and projects but now I pursue a more established industry environment. My immediate experience is in the product and/or industrial capacity, however, I am currently up-skilling in illustration and UX/UI design!   SoliA smart device that helps better protect nursery school children from overexposure to the sun. Exhibited at New Designers 2019. Major University project, from portfolio 2017-2019.
• ShadeLighting design project inspired by set pieces of furniture, to explore light manipulation through modular design and movement - 2017.
• AvailResearch based project into a solar-powered, low-cost lighting solution for off-grid students unable to study at night in regions with high photovoltaic power potential. Project inspired by a 'radical design' brief, to solve a problem in a futuristic environment where severe climate change has caused all finite resources to be exhausted - 2017.
• BottleBottle design for street food workers, focusing on creating a functional and empathetic solution. Emphasis on the user interaction and task analysis to conduct a thorough user centred design process and make an informed product benefits specification for significant development - 2018.
• Cyber Punk StereoShort 3D printing and post-production project. Designed by another student; built, developed and finished by myself and one other - 2018.
