Hi, my name is Jiyun Jeong and I am a freelance illustrator from South Korea. I finished BA Illustration course in Art University Bournemouth this year, in June 2020.
I love drawing cute relatable characters and people in daily life. My illustration style is simple and warm and painted in traditional materials such as watercolour and pencil. I get inspiration from abstract texts and daily life which I like to interpret into my unique visual languages. In my latest project, I really enjoyed making a children’s book aimed for young children. For this project, I created cute garden creatures and made fabric toys based on those characters.
My freelance career has just started since I graduated. I am currently building up my experiences through my own project and other personal commissions. In future, I'd like to expand my artistic area from book and magazine illustrations into animation and pattern design. As a freelance illustrator, I will work hard and communicate with people through my illustration and give a little joy to them.
