About me

I'm a freelance journalist currently splitting my time between Bristol and London. I have a gnack for finding different angles to stories and also finding stories in unlikely places, which I hope my portfolio demonstrates. As well as this, I have a keen interest in working for publications that I really believe stand out from the more traditional. I have experience in sub-editing and social media and I am keen to gain as much experience as I can in the journalism and publication industry. I am a recent graduate from the University of the Arts London where I graduated with a First Class Honours in Journalism.

  The Last of the London Races'The Last of the London Races' was a project I undertook that aimed to tell the story of London's last greyhound racing track and the people associated with it. Once there were over 30 racetracks in the capital and one by one they have all been forced to close for a variety of reasons. While greyhound racing suffers from a relative image problem, the sport was a large part of London's working class culture for centuries. Running the Facebook page for Artefact magazine required me to organise, schedule and maintain a constant stream of new content and newsworthy content from the archives. I was also required to analyse the level of traffic generated by each post and adapt our strategy so as to maximise effectiveness and reach.
