The degeneration of Macbeth’s mind, caused by his traumatic experience in combat, is foregrounded as the strands of Shakespeare’s play are brought into conflict with each other and themselves.
- FragmentsThis silent, black and white adaptation of Georg Büchner’s final, unfinished play focuses on Woyzeck’s descent into uncertainty, alcoholism and death. As the societal pressures implode in ‘Woyzeck’, the play poses questions around mental health, domestic violence, social institutions and their commodification of love, spirituality, ownership and community.
