I currently work for a creative stage production and set design company called Visual Architects. My brief is to help club and festival promoters create unique and immersive set designs for events by liaising with them on genre-specific themes and working to hard budgets. Alongside this role I am also required to directly organise rigging crews and transport/rigging logistics, communicate ideas clearly to design and fabrication teams and perform job specific tasks such as sourcing particular materials or organising couriers. This requires excellent communication skills both within and between the teams I am a part of and clients, an excellent working knowledge of genre-specific trends and suitable thematic material, as well as in-depth knowledge of the music industry at large.

Live Sound Engineer - Freelance(Various)

Beginning during my time at University, I have performed Live Sound Engineer roles for a number of bands/venues. Of particular note, I worked on several episodes of Sofar Sounds Sheffield. This required me to hone my problem-solving abilities in a high-pressure environment, working in front of a crowd to produce both the live PA mix and the recorded mix which it was my responsibility to mix down to a suitably professional level for the internationally recognised YouTube series. I have also provided live sound for several gigs at Trof NQ and recorded a multi-track e.p. for Leeds based Post-Rock band Darkside Japan.

A multi-faceted degree looking to enhance a variety of skills associated with Music Production and the Music Industry. This included in-depth studies of various writing styles, including Film Scoring, Sampling and Synthesis, alongside academic/critical studies in journalism, event management and studio production. Also included hands on experience in industry level studios equipped with SSL and Audient desks and extensive outboard gear. Extra-circular activities included recording and producing local artists and co-ordinating events.
