About me
I'm a very recent design graduate looking for a good challenge rather than just a job! For the past year I have been in charge of all design issues at a London-based advertising agency, Mapp Media. In this role I have been able to prove myself in a wide range of tasks: print, digital and presentation design and company rebrand were just some of them. It's been great but now it's time to progress! My biggest passion is print: I am an avid screen printer and very recently did a workshop with the renowned Bristolian Letterpress Collective. One of the origins of this enthusiasm is surely my love of the written word: next to my recent design degree I have a BA and an MA in English Literature, both completed with distinction!
Projects
  • FormX
FormXAs part of my FdA I answered an editorial brief: the task was to create a masthead for fictional design magazine 'FormX', as well as a spread on Charles and Ray Eames.. The solution is a minimal design with plenty of little details – ligatures, colour highlights etc.

-I took part in this year's Fearless Academy, a design competition hosted by renowned agency Taxi Studio. The brief was to create a brand and packaging for a supermarket product that would best represent my personality and standout factor as a designer! I chose cheese – because it gets better with age! While I'm only a few years older than most design graduates, I spent those years pursuing a demanding career path (academia) and although I have now turned to design, my first education is an invaluable asset. I wanted to communicate how confident I feel about taking this little detour. The brand is called Full Bloom, because that's where I'm at! I love working with nice materials and paper is by far my favourite. I therefore decided to create intricate paper stencils that wrap around the packaging structures very elegantly and express the tradition and craft that go into cheese making. I also wanted to give the product a little twist and so all the cheeses are mixed with wild flowers!
  • Museum of Garbage
Museum of GarbageI created a print poster and redesigned the assets for Museum of Garbage, an exhibition about waste in Istanbul.
