About me
Freshly graduated from Huddersfield university with a passion for illustration, in particular, kids book illustration.
Projects
  • Alone
AloneThis is a book I wrote as the final major project of my illustration degree. It tells the story of a young boy in his room in the dark, and all the things he fears. I use rhyme and illustrations to build suspense until finally the light is turned on. At the end we discover that his fears were nothing more than his imagination, cast away by his family. I wanted to use this story to remind children that any fear can be overcome when we stick together. The story was originally inspired by Cancer R
  • The Little Lion
The Little LionThis is a story I wrote about a little lioness cub who longs for a mane and the acceptance of her family. While the book uses childlike sentences and illustrations, it actually educates children about the trans community. I really like children's books that are subtly educational and I chose the trans community as a subject as it is something I am very passionate about.

This role is much like my role at 'The Horns' where I wait on, clear, clean and man the bar. However, the restaurant is little more formal and so I am expected to great and interact with the customers in a suitable manner. I feel like I am able to adapt to this environment well and am often complimented by customers on their experience.

During my time here I worked as often as I could between college and once I started university I would work during the holidays. This means I worked during very busy periods such as Christmas, summer, and during the pandemic thoughout 'Eat out to help out'. Within my role I was expected to wait on tables, clear and clean the restaurant, answer phone calls and emails and man the bar. I feel comfortable interacting with the public and enjoyed my time here.

A- levels- Graphic Design (A*), Fine Art (A), Classical Civilisation (C)Blackpool Sixth Form College
     - Blackpool, United Kingdom
My graphics a-level, whist being my favourite, also helped me to develop a range of skills in surface design and illustration, with both physical media and Photoshop. The work I created for this grade helped guide me towards the path I have now chosen. In Fine art I was able to experiment with a range of physical media and is where I discovered my love for pencils and paints such as acrylics and watercolours. Studying Classical Civilisation helped to refine my essay writing and time management skills. I am able to work and think fast, as well as plan my work.

I really did like high school but I was clear from a young age that I was to go into the arts. This is reflected in my grades as the two A*s were awarded in art and graphic design.
