About me
Hi there! I'm a graphic designer and illustrator based in Manchester with 4 years' experience in the industry. I have recently gone freelance, having spent the last few years working in-house at British Cycling, where I worked on lots of branding, campaign, editorial and digital projects. I'm particularly looking to work with clients who are contributing something positive to the world, and recent work has been in the social change space. I'm open to all sorts of projects (and I like to keep things varied), so if you have a project in mind then feel free to get in touch so we can chat about it!
Projects
  • COP27 Children and Youth Zone
COP27 Children and Youth ZoneIn collaboration with Maker Change Studio, I created the look and feel for 2022's COP27 Children and Youth Zone. This was the first time a COP conference had had a specific area for young people, and the brief was to keep things vibrant, uplifting and inviting.
  • WeProsper
WeProsperI created this visual identity for a new coalition of charities whose aim was to support the economic empowerment of women all over the world, particularly in the global south. I designed a flexible logo system and toolkit across three separate colour palettes, bringing to life different strands of the coalition. The elements of the logo represent a sense of prospering and advancing together - elements which are echoed across the brand in different ways.
  • The Iris Project
The Iris ProjectI was asked by Maker Change Studio to refresh the existing branding of The Iris Project, a foundation set up to support young people to participate in local environmental projects. The brand had to retain elements of its previous iteration, such as the rainbow and the sea, but needed a new lease of life, and had to appeal to young people globally. The end result is both youthful and purposeful, reflecting the hope and determination of young activists. It has a strong visual connection to nature
  • Let's Ride Through Winter
Let's Ride Through WinterCampaign design and illustrations for British Cycling to encourage people to keep cycling through winter. With four challenges throughout January and February 2021, participants are encouraged to dust off their bike and raise some money for a charity helping someone across the world get access to a bike of their own. Visuals are designed to provide some light relief in the darker months and to capture attention when scrolling.
  • The Eco Store, Skipton
The Eco Store, SkiptonBranding for the new Eco Store within an existing vegan cafe in Skipton. Customers can buy environmentally friendly goods and bring their own containers to stock up on essentials like shampoo and washing up liquid at the re-filling station. A three circle motif using letters within the store name; moving from full to empty, this serves as a metaphor for using less - as well as referencing the re-filling service within the store. This motif is used throughout the branding in different copy. Brand
  • The State of Cycling
The State of CyclingA campaign to re-launch British Cycling’s policy work; in particular showcasing the ‘State of Cycling’ survey results and celebrate the organisation reaching 150,000 members, a significant milestone. The creative had to sit apart from the rest of British Cycling’s work and look to engage both cyclists and non-cyclists. The look and feel was inspired by a) the typographical immediacy of political campaigns, where messages have to be quickly and simply communicated; and b) the sense of a system an
