Hi there! I'm a graphic designer and illustrator based in Manchester with 4 years' experience in the industry. I have recently gone freelance, having spent the last few years working in-house at British Cycling, where I worked on lots of branding, campaign, editorial and digital projects. I'm particularly looking to work with clients who are contributing something positive to the world, and recent work has been in the social change space. I'm open to all sorts of projects (and I like to keep things varied), so if you have a project in mind then feel free to get in touch so we can chat about it!
Projects
- For the Love of PlantsFrom time to time I like to flex my creative muscles by setting myself a brief. It's a chance to play, and to combine my passions both inside and outside of design. As a lover of plants, the more time I spend contemplating the perfect imperfections of nature, the more accepting I am of my own flaws.
- WeProsperI created this visual identity for a new coalition of charities whose aim was to support the economic empowerment of women all over the world, particularly in the global south. I designed a flexible logo system and toolkit across three separate colour palettes, bringing to life different strands of the coalition. The elements of the logo represent a sense of prospering and advancing together - elements which are echoed across the brand in different ways.
- The Iris ProjectI was asked by Maker Change Studio to refresh the existing branding of The Iris Project, a foundation set up to support young people to participate in local environmental projects. The brand had to retain elements of its previous iteration, such as the rainbow and the sea, but needed a new lease of life, and had to appeal to young people globally. The end result is both youthful and purposeful, reflecting the hope and determination of young activists. It has a strong visual connection to nature
- Let's Ride Through WinterCampaign design and illustrations for British Cycling to encourage people to keep cycling through winter. With four challenges throughout January and February 2021, participants are encouraged to dust off their bike and raise some money for a charity helping someone across the world get access to a bike of their own. Visuals are designed to provide some light relief in the darker months and to capture attention when scrolling.
