Hey, Kay here.
I’m a London-based illustrator and designer for Motion Graphics. My illustration work is bold, bright and fun, often featuring larger-than life, irreverent characters. I love working with both digital and traditional medium, as well as still image or GIFs and short animations. I am currently working for Banjo Robinson, a child education subscription service based in the UK.
When I work on design for animations, I like to get stuck into the branding and messaging of the company, letting this influence my design decisions and animation direction for storyboarding. Animations can be a lot of visual problem-solving for abstract concepts and I do love a puzzle! I work collaboratively with animators and clients to build functional yet beautiful designs and I take pride in providing easy-to-navigate, ready-to-animate files to make the animation process as easy as possible!
I have worked with clients such as Spotify, Sky, Astrazeneca, Health Policy Protection, Michigan Hospital Association, Women Deliver, Smilebox, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Veganuary….

- 36 Days Of Type ProjectThis year 2021, I have been working everyday throughout April on #36 Days of type, and I'm pretty proud of all the characters I've come up with. The criteria I set for myself was for each character to create the shape of the letter and have a job role to match! This is a selection of my favourites from the project:
- SmileboxI was approached by the amazing guys at AWESOME TLV to illustrate and design the storyboard for an animation for e-card company, Smilebox®. The brief was to create a ‘greeting card world’ in which we follow the main character, Emily, through her life all the way to her 70th Birthday, using Smilebox® service to commemorate her journey... - BIG CHANGES AHEADWe teamed up with Tell Studios to create this awesome animation for the Michigan Hospital Associations campaign ‘Big Changes Ahead’. Policy changes to Auto Insurance were coming into effect and we were charged with creating this animation to inform the people of Michigan what level of protection to choose!
