After receiving a degree in Interior Design, I moved into event design where I worked as a freelance event designer and stylist for several companies in the home counties and London. Doing this, I was able to gain experience of working and styling on site. I was even fortunate to be able to work with Google and to travel abroad doing it.
I then moved into a full time position as an event designer and project manager with an event company based in Central London. In this position I was not only able to create a range of events from brand launches to Christmas parties but I also created the budgets, quotes and was responsible for buying any props or styling items.
I've wanted to work in set design for several years so decided to make the shift to film and I'm currently in the process of gaining as much experience as I can by working on short films, music videos and photo shoots with the aim to work in film and television full time.
Projects
- Old Billingsgate 2020Designed for the Old Billingsgate summer and Christmas runs for 2020 and 2021. Every summer and winter, Old Billingsgate themes their venue and hosts a variety of events during these runs. For the upcoming four seasons, my client wanted something simple and clean similar to a boutique hotel in a black and gold colour scheme which could also be easily branded if needed. We also decided to remove the soft seating that usually sits in the centre of the space and replace them with poseur tables an
- Indie Brands @ IMBIBEExhibition stand proposal for Indie Brands who represent a number of small drinks brands. Client wanted to steer away from anything too corporate and use natural materials. The stand needed to be able to showcase approximately 20 brands whilst also representing the company and had to be modular. The bar needed to be fully functional and include sink, speed rails, bins and ice trays and accommodate up to 4 bar staff. I designed a number of stands before they decided on the altar theme which I
- Chocolate Brand LaunchExperiential product launch of animal themed chocolates at ZSL London Zoo. Client wanted the event to have a grotto feel and to be quite secretive and completely self-contained so guests couldn’t see into it from the outside. As the event was for a fun, children-focused brand, I used bright colours in my initial proposal which was to turn the space into a self-contained chocolate shop. The guests would be led into the space for the product’s reveal and be led out again.
