As a confident and ambitious creative assistant and stylist with experience in fashion design and retail, I have developed a range of transferable skills including knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator that I am looking to utilise in a challenging new role after four years in the retail industry. I completed a two week work placement at Angels the Costumiers where I shadowed costume designers. I assisted selected costumes based on client briefs, packing items, repairs and helping with research. Angels has an in house library where I had the opportunity to do some of my own research and pull together outfits of my own. I developed a lasting interest in costume and historical dress and this has proved to be useful in my current role as I have knowledge of the history of fashion, and I can refer to this when styling.
