About me
I’m a self-taught video artist and editor from Denver, Colorado. I started with Photoshop which then turned into Premiere Pro and After Effects and I instantly fell in love with all three programs. I’ve been producing content professionally for two years now and I’m continuously building my skill set and exploring different techniques for my video art. I like to mix my own photography/video content with stock content to create my visions. I enjoy the challenge of looking through pieces photographers/videographers put out there and looking at them with a different perspective to see how they fit into the “puzzle” I want to create. I then dive into manipulating the imagery/video through color, animation, layering, and blending to communicate the message behind each art piece. Most recently, I’ve had the opportunity to produce a film for the Adobe Stock Film Festival, I was chosen to participate along with 12 other filmmakers from all over the world. I was challenged with coming up with my own storyline and producing a full-length film in just one week with only using stock content. This project was in the midst of the lockdown and was a great opportunity to showcase the work that I do, proving that you can still create meaningful art without having to use a lot of materials. From the dark and strange to the wacky and colorful, I enjoy creating it all...the weirder the better. I continue to get inspired by emotions I may be feeling or what’s going on in the world around me and the result is an everlasting series of collage-style video art.

Class Description
In our 3-day Adobe After Effects 101 course, participants will get in depth training on the industry standard tool for creating motion graphics, broadcast television and Hollywood style effects. Participants will create compositions utilizing assets for a wide array of sources including video, Photoshop Files, Illustrator files, as well as other file types. Participants will gain both a foundation for further After Effects learning and a more intuitive view of the program, its capabilities, and how to best employ it in your work!
