Kirath Ghundoo is a surface pattern designer based in the UK, specialising in mismatch geometric and bespoke wallpapers. She creates prints for surfaces across interiors, fashion and lifestyle products.
KG launched her first wallpaper collection ‘Mix ‘n’ Match 11’ at 100% Design, London in 2011 and since then has become a favourite of the design and interiors press both in the UK and internationally, with Living etc labelling her as "the queen of pretty geometrics."
She has worked on bespoke interior wallpaper and surface design projects worldwide from Mexico, Italy, Netherlands, USA to France. Her love for travel, culture, fashion and photography are reflected through her surface pattern designs for interior wallpaper and surface design projects. The Mix ’n’ Match wallpapers iconic to her brand, disregard the rule book and encourage clients to have fun creating super cool feature walls of mismatched pattern and colour. Pushing boundaries to create original work, her designs are a fusion of all things KG!

- MIX 'N' MATCH 17 COLLECTION \\ CUBAIn June 2016 we travelled to Cuba visiting the sites of Havana Trinidad, Cienfuegos and Varadero. The rustic charms of Havana still remain and we wanted to capture the old history before it all changes. Trinidad is a magical place full of bright colour around every street corner with snippets of broken tiles, decaying man made surfaces with contrasting patterns. Cuba is surface designer's dream as there is so much to see and record through drawing and photography. The Mix ‘n’ Match 17 wallpaper
- HYUNDAI LIVART \\ KOREACollaborating with Hyundai Livart in Korea, we worked on a challenging pattern project. The brief involved designing a series of patterns that could be translated into stitch onto mattresses for the 2016 Ensleep Collection. Livart requested a Scandinavian feel to the patterns, keeping them minimal and cool. Overall we created four mattresses patterns which were translated into stitch over a six month period. Each one is individual adding a quirky design element through shape.
- KITCHENWALLS \\ NETHERLANDSWorking closely on a designer range we created four pattern splash backs for KitchenWalls based in the Netherlands. They are available to purchase direct from Behangfabriek. Due to the new and revolutionary material which is heat and water resistant, reusable and easy to clean the wallpapers can be used within a bedroom, bathroom and living room.
