My career goal is to style a Vogue cover shoot, but for now I want to gain as much experience as possible and learn from the best while creating amazing work.
I would love to work with a variety of brands from household luxury names to exciting new labels as well as magazines, big or small. I am passionate about creating fresh, innovative ideas and producing inspiring imagery alongside other like-minded creatives.
I have a real interest in streetwear and its history. I find it fascinating what people wear and the vast range of styles you can see in everyday life. I like to bring elements of what I see on the street into my work, making it current and relatable.
Projects
- Minimalist DecadenceThis look book was created as part of my final major project for my degree. I chose the brand Cecilie Bahnsen and created a hypothetical SS20 look book for them. Cecilie Bahnsen is a Copenhagen-based brand that creates luxury clothing with a relaxed, timeless feel. Keeping this in mind, I sourced clothing from a variety of places to put together 5 looks that embodied Cecilie Bahnsen's effortless designs. I then designed and made the look book using InDesign. In July 2021 the Jack Wills store closed and I was transferred to House of Fraser where I worked as a sales assistant in the menswear department until October 2021. My responsibilities here were much the same as at Jack Wills except now I was given much less direction and therefore had to use my common sense and intuition to find tasks to do. In October 2021 an opportunity arose to join the visual team and I
jumped at the chance to use my styling skills and learn about an area of fashion that was only briefly touched on in my degree. This role has taught me how to follow a brief to create window displays and mannequin hotspots to company standards, how to most efficiently organise my time when we are in a busy period and the importance of understanding the style of all the various brands.

After finishing university I needed a job but with Covid-19 it was difficult to find anything in the fashion industry so I went back to retail. We were a very small team which meant there was a lot of responsibility from the beginning therefore I had to be confident and learn quickly how the store was run. My main responsibilities were excellent customer service, processing sales and returns, and maintaining the store standards. As my managers knew I was interested in styling, they would often ask my opinion when re-merchandising or dressing mannequins. This allowed me to learn more about what's important when merchandising a store such as keeping different product lines together and thinking about what will make it easiest for the customer to shop.

During my time at university I learned a plethora of skills from how to use Adobe InDesign to writing a campaign strategy document, but it was here that I found my love for styling. By directing my own photoshoots and working with other students on their shoots, I developed my skills in styling and the way photoshoots work. I learned the depth of research that goes into styling and how this can have a huge impact on the outcome and success of a photoshoot. I also learned how to take the imagery that I have styled and give it a purpose, e.g. designing lookbooks and creating mockups.
