About me
I was five. I could still taste the saccharine sweet remnants of chocolate on my tongue. My mouth was smeared with cocoa crumbs and icing. My parents walked in, mouths wide open. “Laura! Did you take a bite of grandma’s birthday cake?” “No.” And so the storytelling began… ____________ With a degree in journalism from the London College of Fashion, I've trained in crafting copy for fashion, lifestyle, art, travel and culture. I've written for a number of publications from the Wall Street Journal, Stylist and the Metro to indie mags such as DOG, Perdiz, Popshot and Caboodle. I currently work in curations at Pinterest, identifying trends and curating visual round-ups to feature on the Pinterest Today tab. I'm also a freelance copywriter, providing copy for clients from the BBC, National Rail and Trivago to Zalando and Debenhams.

  • Pinterest Explore Tab
Pinterest Explore TabI regularly freelance as a fashion editor and curator for Pinterest UK. This has involved identifying trends and curating visual round-ups to feature on the Pinterest Explore tab and writing snappy copy for each article. This requires an in-depth knowledge of trends and lifestyle content. Articles range from women’s fashion, beauty and menswear to wellness, architecture, home decor and food.
  • Pinterest Predicts 2024
Pinterest Predicts 2024In 2023 and 2024 I joined the team for Pinterest Predicts, which is a highly influential annual trend forecast that helps guide consumer behaviour and shape industry trends. I was responsible for curating collections of images, videos and content to create a visual identity of each trend. I also curated shopping edits to provide consumers with the opportunity to buy into the trends.
  • Interview with Dries Van Noten
Interview with Dries Van NotenEarlier this year I had the pleasure of spending some time with true fashion royalty, Dries Van Noten. . As I tottered around Dries’ country estate in Antwerp, in a pair of those strappy sandals we all wore to death in the spring, my heels got stuck in the cobbles, I made holes in the lawn and I regretted saying "no" to borrowing a pair of wellies. But all was alright in the end, when Dries' partner Patrick kindly assured me “you were meeting a fashion designer, what else were you going to do?!”

We travelled to France as part of our traditional travel section to explore the French landscapes, architecture, culture and the changes in modern French cuisine. • DOG MAG ISSUE 1
DOG MAG ISSUE 1DOG is a modern lifestyle magazine exploring the presence and influence of dogs and their owners in society. And, as chance would have it, our first ever issue went to print on National Dog Day.  Each issue centres on a core topic and explores the deep relationships between people and dogs through photographic portfolios, interviews, personal essays and illustrations. The central character this issue is the Stabyhoun, a rare breed that hails from Friesland in the Netherlands. Featured: US Photo
