- Theatrical Costume MakingA four month intense theatrical period costume making course studied at the Northern College Of Costume in York. From June until the end September, three costumes where made using a wide range of skills from pattern drafting and cutting both via book references and on a stand, costume construction and learning a variety of different costume finishing techniques. Costume one: 1830's Mens daywear, this included a shirt, waistcoat, coat, trousers and a cravat. Costume two: 1880's Women's daywear, this included garments (corset, bustle cage, petticoat) foundation skirt, bodice, bustle, fishtail Costume Three: 1920's Women's evening gown: undergarment (slip dress) and dress
Work history
Costume Trainee
Working on a feature film "The Boy With A Thorn In His side". Working along side both the costume designer and costume assistant while on set. Carrying out any required alterations and making sure any extras on set there presented well and to the designers vision. My tasks also included ironing, documenting costume evidence for costume equity to make sure all costumes were kept the same and consistent throughout filming.
