IT Risk Assurance Consultant, then Workforce Advisory ConsultantERNST & YOUNG (EY)
    London, United KingdomFull Time
IT Risk Assurance Consultant (Aug 2017-2019): I audited the systems of FTSE 100 companies for any security vulnerabilities in their programs that could lead to fraud or mistakes in their financial statements. I utilised my eye for detail and alternative thinking style to comprehensively cover all outcome, and professional scepticism to analyse system logs and evidence for indicators of issues. Validated, via interviews, the correctness of the information I had obtained, and my understanding, to ensure consistency and correctness in an industry that is regulated. I explained complex IT infrastructure and platform concepts to financial staff and convinced them of the importance of making the required changes. Worked on many projects at fast pace, and rapidly learnt about and understood new systems, company structures, technology and complex processes on every project move. Workforce Advisory Consultant (Aug 2019 - Present): I aid clients in their workforce agenda on culture change, diversity and inclusiveness strategies, learning campaigns and technology enabled change. I collaborate with teammates in order to organise company-wide national change programs under tight timelines and budgets. Every day is different, and agility and flexibility is required as tasks and events often change last minute. I’m solely responsible for my own work-stream within each project, driving the strategy and prioritising actions to take to complete deliverables whilst also proactively jumping in to support others. I write documents, emails, video scripts, and more as part of communication and engagement work, requiring different writing styles to suit different audiences, and understanding of our target audiences. Key Achievements • Made connections where others didn’t, to proactively identify future risks to security • Impressed senior leadership on ability to interpret the information given by clients, make the relevant connections, and then ask the right questions to get what we needed. This was across a language barrier, so required adaptability when technical questions didn’t always translate directly from one language to another • My suggestions and ideas taken forward by client to be incorporated into training that reaches close to 200,000 people nationally. • Microsoft Office, Teams and Technology champion
