About me
A creative, passionate and above all extremely motivated Fashion Graduate drawn to the technical side of the industry. I have extensive experience creating flat CADs, mood boards, researching, pattern cutting and working industrial machines. This, in addition to the experience I have through my Internships, gives me the confidence and determination to strive and perform to the best of my ability. • Graduate Collection - Alternative Collection: Shirting
Graduate Collection - Alternative Collection: ShirtingThis collection is alternative to my mainline Graduate Collection - it uses the same research and sustainable concepts, but is a high-end high street womenswear collection focussed on the common and versatile SHIRT. Shape and silhouette inspiration is still taken from the coral reefs from my original research, but is done so in a more commercial way. The production of this collection would involve a collaboration with the BCI to ensure it is produced using sustainable cottons, and the silks woul
  • Graduate Collection - Mainline Collection: Conscious Bride
Graduate Collection - Mainline Collection: Conscious BrideConscious Bride is a sustainable Bridal / Eveningwear collection made entirely of waste products. Utilising end-of-line fabric from suppliers and mills which would otherwise go to waste, as well as using fastenings taken from old toiles and charity shop garments, this collection offers garments which aim to have zero negative impact on the environment. The investment pieces promote a more circular fashion by encouraging consumers to keep their bridal garments and re-wear them as evening pieces.

     - London, United KingdomInternship
My role as a Product Development Intern involved working closely with the Product Developers, Garment Technicians and Merchandisers, in addition to the Production Team, Sales and Press at times. My main roles were booking and tracking shipments, booking models, measuring and quality control checking samples, and assisting during fittings as the team followed a tight-scheduled critical path. I also had experience signing off gold seal samples and visiting the warehouse for quality control checks. This internship in particular really inspired me: I took every opportunity that was given to me and left Temperley with so much more knowledge and a drive to succeed in this area of the industry.

Whilst at Jenny Packham, as a Sample Room Assistant Intern, I had a wide variety of tasks including preparing and cutting fabric, beading and hand sewing, sourcing fabric and components, monitoring fabric usage and other general studio tasks. This Internship gave me a broad understanding of the sampling stages of fashion, and enabled me to gain confidence and understanding.

Bachelor of Arts (BA) The University of Huddersfield
    Huddersfield, United Kingdom
The degree I chose (Fashion Design with Marketing and Production) encouraged my curiosity in different areas of the fashion industry as I learnt a wide range of skills at University: from researching trends to creating technical CADs, pattern cutting, fitting my garments and grading them. In addition, I have been taught how to effectively use a wide range of computer programs, including Optitex and Adobe software such as Illustrator.
