About me
I am a highly motivated individual in the field of fashion, with the skill to create innovative concepts that can be transformed into high end detailed designs and garments. I have gained strong knowledge into CAD programmes and also gained skills in the requirements of the role as Fashion Designer in a commercial environment. I constantly strive to learn new skills and knowledge to enhance my work.

  • Do the Harlem Strike
    Do the Harlem StrikeDo The Harlem Strike’ explores both the district of Harlem and the Miner’s Strike based in South Yorkshire in the 1980s. Silhouette is inspired by the individuals captured by photographer Jamal Shabazz and Katsu Naito, which reflects a sportswear impression and prints are formed by both the architectural structure seen in the colliery mines and the propaganda throughout the Miner’s Strike.

    Strike a Romance ZineA journal inspired zine that reflects an individual who’s family are miners and going through the struggles faced with the Miner’s Strike. She has her escape and that’s being a New Romantic. The journal reflects the six looks that she has created. A collection that heavily merges a true new romantic style with miners detailing.     Strike a Romance‘Strike A Romance’ heavily explores the narrative on all matters through the Miners’ Strike. Mainly taking inspiration from the life my Grandad lived, as he was a miner based in South Yorkshire. The collection also explores the subculture of the New Romantics, inspired by the music groups formed in Sheffield.     Scarf Design - Collaboration with John Smedley and Made in Derbyshire 2015Chesterfield College
    Designed a scarf that focused on the architecture of the roof in the John Smedley factory. Once design was selected I then had to produce colour ways with the available yarn left over and to decide which scarf was been put forward for the final product.
