About me
I'm a Wakefield based illustrator interested in comic art and character design. I specialise in character illustration influenced by animation and supernatural fantasy stories. I like to work on a range of projects including graphic design based projects such as book covers and film posters. My latest project was a short comic about three original characters in a fantasy world. The main characters, Jessie Harper and Bennie develop powers that lead them down a dangerous and interesting path. Feel free to contact me any time; leahstead99@gmail.com

EXODUS- Two years later.Re vamped my original character designs from my comic, EXODUS. Two years later from the first time we meet the characters they've grown up, gained more scars and built up their muscle. I guess that's what happens when you're fighting monsters every day. I've included their original concept designs at the bottom for comparison.

  • LGBTQ+ Zine
LGBTQ+ ZineA small collaborative zine that I created and managed, working alongside several small artists to create a zine for the LGBTQ+ community. The cover was done with large sheets of card, photographed and edited on photoshop to increase the saturation and brightness of the colours to match that of the pride flag. I have included the two pieces that I illustrated for the ACE and Gay community.
  • Greek God Zine.
Greek God Zine.A small zine about the greek gods in modern times. This was part of a collaborative zine with several small artists, my pages illustrated the gods; Poseidon, Hades and Demeter. The brief set was to include some element of their 'god' aspect into the design. eg; Poseidon and water.
  • Overhaul
OverhaulI did a portrait illustration of one of the main villains from an anime I have watched recently. The anime as a whole has been a large inspiration for my designs and art style.
