About me
To me, film culture has always been charged with the potential to challenge audiences as well as creative professionals themselves regarding the world we live in and that we participate in shaping. My professional commitment takes into account the business imperatives and artistic values inherent to this field that keeps passionating me to such extent and to which I dedicate my career. I am currently looking for a job opportunity in, or near Glasgow, Scotland.
Projects
  • Project Artistic & Logistics Coordination
Project Artistic & Logistics CoordinationOver the course of a cold February weekend was held within the frame of the Glasgow Film Festival (GFF) a double event that wanted audiences to reflect on the treachery of images. It wanted to explore the thematics of surveillance in relation to espionage as well as the deliberate sharing of the images we take of our – not so private anymore – lives. Far from being designed as a moralizing event, the happening relied on various interventions, screenings, installations and exhibitions, as well as

Audiovisual Project ManagementI had the opportunity to record the first public representation of "Second Souffle" - a dance performance - in order to edit a trailer for communication purposes.

This project features various pieces commissioned by the association and the UN Environment around the project (including a video that I translated and edited) plus an ex

Set in Paris and La Martinique (French Caribbeans). I acted in my capacity of artistic and logistics coordinator to set up the 2018 edition of the FIFDM. I was my own supervisor working in a small-scale organisation on tasks such as general coordination, relationships with new or asserted partners, and applications for funding opportunities. I enquired for films in order to submit them to the festival’s selection committee - of which I was a part of - and exchanged with speakers and artists involved in this edition of the event. I also managed a small team of interns and freelancers whose missions focused on onsite coordination and community management. My expectations were met when I received the audiences‘ positive feedback when attending the festival’s different Q&As, and when moderating quite a number of post-screenings exchanges in schools, as well as in jail.

It was an educated choice for me to study abroad in order to gain both professional and personal benefits from this experience. My research skills sharpened from the contents I was able to access as I was able to take part in broader scholar discussions about film culture and film curation. This intellectual work would never leave me from then on.
