About me

A freelance Integrated Creative Director currently working in a senior team. We are Rik and Linda, an Integrated Creative Director team. Our expertise stretches from publishing to branding and advertising, and we’ve produced work for every medium from social to cinema. Currently freelancing at London agencies. I personally have 20 years experience working in publishing, marketing, for integrated and content agencies and advertising. An endless perfectionist, I have a wealth of experience working within the luxury sector and have been lucky to work with some amazing brands including: Aston Martin, Maserati, Rolls Royce, Boodles, Fairmont Hotels, Berkeley group, IHG, Penfolds, Patek Philippe and Value Retail. I am a hands on Creative Director and have developed and art directed ideas for large scale shoots and global campaigns from concept to completion. I have extensive experience in 360 thinking and: developing brand worlds, creating brand guidelines & social media strategies, and experiential idea. I can design you anything from, brochures to magazines, coffee table books or campaign key visuals. Both organized and creative, I love to immerse myself into teams, build new relationships and ultimately create great work. ----- I like to think that having worked across a range of sectors throughout my career ranging from publishing to advertising, I have become a diverse and multi-skilled Creative Director.         • I created a marketing campaign for 9 Millbank, a new luxury development owned by St Edward, part of the Berkeley Group. From conception of the idea the TTL campaign included: working on the creative direction and production of two large lifestyle shoots in and around London; writing scripts and developing storyboards for a brand mood film; editing and creative direction on a talking heads (and sales) film for the local area; designing printed assets and brochures.

Created a series of events/ideas that to launch the re-brand to company employees as well as clients and industry peers.

The brief was to create a winter campaign that captured the spirit and essence of The Body Shop’s founder, Anita Roddick. The campaign was targeted at millenials and following workshops held with young female millenials we developed 3 alternative creative routes for the brand.

        • Senior Art Director working across all Leagas Delaney accounts and pitches. Creative lead on winning pitch for Value Retail who operate 11 luxury outlet shopping villages around the world, including two in China, and Bicester Village in the UK. I was responsible for concepts and art direction of content for three seasons’ international integrated campaigns TTL across all Villages. We were also commissioned by La Vallee Village, the French Village, to produce an independent campaign for them helping to drive local business. Alongside this, I produced new brand, design and social media creative guidelines for the group. In addition to managing the Value Retail account I was the creative lead for Penfolds wines and was responsible for creating content for their annual Tasting Notes brochure, advertising and for their social media. I launched and art directed a campaign and re-brand for The Hamilton Princess Hotel in Bermuda and helped the agency win pitches for Boghossian, the luxury jewellers, and Huawei in China. Most recently I art directed the Patek Philippe generations campaign on location in Milan & Lugano that will appear across global media in the autumn of 2017.

        • Creative lead for an integrated agency, specialising in the luxury sector. Overseeing a team of designers and a Picture Editor I was responsible for all art direction and design for our client portfolio. The role included concepting, creating moodboards, production, art direction,design and commissioning of photography and illustration for all clients, as well as producing creative for all of the agency’s pitch work. I established design templates for magazines, books, brochures and marketing, ad campaigns and ecommerce sites.With an extensive international network of high-end contemporary photographers, I regularly commissioned a rich portfolio of imagery including: portraiture, fashion, still life, automotive, travel and lifestyle, interiors and architecture. In conjunction with DDB Paris and the Head of Brand for Unilever, I was responsible for establishing the new brand communciation idea for the launch of Maille for the British and European markets, as well as on the new e-commerce site. I achieved an excellent track record of client wins including major communications for: Aston Martin,The Address Hotels (Dubai), Boodles, English Heritage, Ernest Jones, Maille for Unilever, Orient Express Hotels and Trains (Belmond), The Royal Mansour (Marrakesh) and Rolls Royce, Sandy Lane (Barbados).
