A freelance Integrated Creative Director currently working in a senior team.
We are Rik and Linda, an Integrated Creative Director team. Our expertise stretches from publishing to branding and advertising, and we’ve produced work for every medium from social to cinema. Currently freelancing at London agencies.
As for me, I'm a Creative Director, mum and yogi with over 20 years’ experience working in the creative industry. Being a working mum with a toddler makes me a multi-tasking, egoless, unflappable creative force. I can build any brand or sell any product that connects emotionally or entertains. I’m not afraid to think differently and having honed my skills as an art director, I know how to make things stand out and look good.
I have worked across the creative sector (in publishing, in advertising, and for content and integrated agencies). That has made me a channel agnostic Creative Director who brings a different perspective to the table. Having helped rebrand and launch campaigns for some of the most iconic luxury global brands, as well as supermarkets, chocolates, beauty brands, smart phones and renewable energy companies, I can become an expert on anything. I’ve also got a pretty good pitch record, and I love to build new client relationships and develop new business.
I’m all about craft and a stickler for detail. Over the years I’ve been a designer, art director, creative, and creative director so, should you need it, I can be a one-woman band: come up with the big idea, develop it, create it, design it, guide it through post-production and send it out the door. Alternatively, I can apply all that experience to nurture my team and make them the best that they can be. I want to work with people who care about each other and the work that they do, hopefully doing some good for the planet and humanity along the way.
Projects
- voco hotelsWorking with a creative team during my time at JWT I was tasked with developing a brand new campaign and creative direction for voco hotels, a new hotel brand being launched by IHG hotels. My brief was to develop a brand that had strong stand out in the premium hotel sector and the digital space, and to develop a campaign that avoided any luxury hotel cliche's. We developed a campaign based around the idea of 'stay interesting' stemming from the company's business model of finding interesting

- The Hamilton Princess HotelPitch winning hotel re-launch campaign created and shot for The Hamilton Princess Hotel, Bermuda. The hotel wanted to re-market themselves as the go-to destination for young affluent East coast based Americans. The hotel is only 2 hours from the East coast so the brief was to produce a campaign that would highlight the exclusive facilities the hotel has to offer for the ultimate weekend getaway. I am currently working in a senior CD team, with Rik Brown.
We met working on a campaign for Tesco Finest at a branding agency, and realised that our diverse and complementary skillset would make us a great team. Our combined expertise stretches from publishing to branding and advertising, and we’ve produced work for every medium from social to cinema.
Rik’s background is as an ad agency creative, and he’s produced big campaign ideas in the UK and globally. From challenger brands to household names, he writes and Creative Directs award-winning work across TV and cinema, press and posters, social and digital.
Linda has a wealth of experience across disciplines. When she’s not developing and art directing ideas for large scale shoots and global campaigns from concept to completion, she’s developing brand worlds, brand guidelines, social media strategies, and experiential ideas.
Together, we can deliver the big idea for any client, and execute it across touchpoints with polished craft. Experience also means we get to solutions quickly - and stay good-natured while we do it!
