About me
Lizzie Jackson is a 22 year old writer and theatre maker in South London. She has a hearing impairment, which means she has to wear hearing aids to function in her everyday life. So far she has written two plays: ‘HATCH’, a short piece that depicts an encounter between two women who meet outside a ‘baby hatch’, where they plan on abandoning their babies in Johannesburg, South Africa; and ‘The Tower’, a full length play about the Grenfell Tower tragedy, which includes a mixture of verbatim and her own writing. 'HATCH' has been performed 3 times in Bath and twice in London, in prestigious venues such as Spotlight UK and Barons Court Theatre. She is currently part of ‘The Agitators’ Programme at the Royal Court, where she has been working closely with directors and writers on their shows.

- A.I.D.E.MThis project is a short written and directed by me for university. This work aims to explore the influence of the media on women's everyday life and self-esteem. I want to incite informed discussions about this matter and encourage other people to speak about their experiences. I worked with some incredibly inspiring women on this project and even though it is not perfect, I am extremely proud of what we accomplished together.
