About me
My approach to design comes from an understanding of the relationship between the product and their users, linking this research to sustainability and technology. Co-founder of Os Italianos Design along with Paolo Martini and Mirko Pierini, together we run an independent self-production design company focused on Upcycle design. The company was focused on developing projects with recovered materials, producing them thanks to a collaboration with the local handcrafters. The work was developed all around the local community but expand to sell and distributed internationally, also working with Company that wanted to develop Sustainable solutions using their post-production materials. Based on this experience, interests and beliefs, I work as freelance settled in Lisbon.
Projects
  • Di là dall'acqua
Di là dall'acquaDi là Dall'Acqua illustration Di là Dall'acqua (Beyond water) is a psychological novel set in Venice, written by Elisabetta Baldiserotto. The novel is a sequel to the first book "Morire non é niente" (Dying is nothing) and tells about the adventure of Detective Jacopo Zambon. Both thrillers are set in a "disillusioned" Venice in which crimes happen besides the tourist routine. "In Venice 'to go beyond the water' means to die because the cemetery is an island, but also the asylum, closed for decades, is 'beyond the water', on an island between San Giorgio and Lido. Its stories of despair, which everyone has forgotten, suddenly re-emerge, while a conference of Psychoanalysis is underway. It is up to Jacopo, with the help of his analyst, to untangle the intricate skein of oblivion and reticence that leads to the solution of more than one crime. A yellow novel on the removed and its ineluctable return. Because there is always someone who remembers."  Elisabetta Baldisserotto, Di là dall'acqua, Cleup 2016 The illustration is designed to evocate a metaphor between water and self-consciousness, associating the gradual darkening of the water with the deep feelings and mystery kept shield by our mind. Water has always been a metaphor for judging mental health in psychology, the water can be calm and stormy, warm or cold, shallow or deep.  All of that is a path to the mystery kept by the asylum, that if unveiled it could clear everything up.
  • Lino
LinoLino is one of the products created by Os italianos design, a design collective devoted to design project from recovered material and producing them in collaboration with a local community of small companies and hand-crafters.  From a recovered "Green wine" bottle that has a distinguishing form, Lino was born. The bottle cut in a vertical way is transformed into two dishes, that can be used as they are or with the addition of ceramic separators that creates a division for different snacks.
  • 1+1=3
1+1=31+1 = 3 is a drawing object that tries to promote collaborative expression.  The product is designed for kids (and adults) that want to experience collaboration during their artistic process. This drawing tool is composed of three wood parts, three plastic caps, and three markers. The two handles turn independently but input a different movement on the middle part every time they rotate. This interaction makes the object work as an intermediate between the independent will of the two users, who create a drawing that represents both intentions or rather try to collaborate to develop a common planned design.
